Keeping up with DJ Greg Caz

Yesterday I got a call from Greg telling me he was DJing tonight, tomorrow, and Thursday. Tonight at Baraza, tomorrow (Wednesday) his regular gig at Nublu, and Thursday with his friend Nat "DJ Busquelo" Rahav at his weekly Thursday salsa get-down at Bembe. Tuesday and Wednesday will involve the usual Brazilian greatness we expect from Greg, whereas Thursday he'll have a chance to dust off a few Latin and Afro-Cuban stormers to a very appreciative crowd.

Unfortunately, I'm probably going to have to miss all three of these gigs, but for those of you looking to forget this cold weather and get all sweaty instead, I couldn't recommend any of these gigs more highly.

Oh, and as a heads-up for my vast readership outside of the U.S. (ha!): things are looking good for a Greg Caz DJ Tour of Europe in February '05. We here at The Brazilian Muse are keeping our fingers crossed that this tour works out OK because it's been FAR too long since Greg's been outside of the country. Far, far too long. But not only that, we would love nothing better than to share his music collection and DJ skills with Europe, as long as NYC gets him back in the end. Will keep you posted on this as more info becomes available...
